Overview

The design inspiration for the laundry room began with the beautiful encaustic-look

bohemian hexagon porcelain tile from Garden State Tile. The color scheme was

influenced by the beech toffee-colored transitional beveled shaker cabinetry from US

Cabinet Depot, complemented by contemporary Emtek hardware.

When dealing with a laundry room that has large soffits housing the HVAC system,

consider highlighting them by color blocking to turn them into a striking architectural

feature. For exposed plumbing and gas lines, paneling the machines and the

surrounding area can create a cleaner look.

For durability and easy maintenance, Silestone quartz countertops with a Calcutta look

were chosen, featuring a simple mitered edge and a 6-inch backsplash. The Nantucket

sink, ideal for tasks like making wine, was selected for its longevity and warm tones that

blend seamlessly with the countertops.

To enhance functionality, a hands-free chrome Kohler faucet was installed. Behind the

sink, a herringbone tile-look vinyl wallpaper was chosen for easy cleanup. To

accommodate the hands-free faucet, an outlet was added under the sink. In the broom

closet, an interior outlet was added to house the vacuum out of sight.

Finally, the room was completed with a unique semi-mount transparent light fixture from

Hudson Valley, adding a touch of sparkle to the space.

The collection of Mediterranean pottery sounds like the perfect finishing touch, adding personal and unique element to the space.
