Overview
Spacesmith was engaged by repeat client SCO Family of Services for the four-story, renovation of the Genovese Family Life Center in Queens, NY. The goal was to transform an outdated workplace and client-facing facility into a modern space that advances the therapeutic services SCO provides. The Center houses SCO’s Queens-based foster care program with a family visiting area, medical and mental health suites, and the talented staff who runs their residential and youth justice programs. Our team focused on a human-centered and trauma informed design approach.
